Jenhong’s first video shot!

Haha… so called first video shot, but nothing much actually… he don’t really know how to play yet, furthermore he can’t speak yet!

Sister in law told me that it is boring to see his pictures only, so I decided to give it a try to see if I manage to catch some video shot which is good enough to be posted… haha…

He will turn 3 months soon, and we’re going back for another follow-up with Dr. Hwang next week or so… more updates by then, he definitely gets heavier by now!

Here’s is a second shot… he was initially sleeping and asking for a napkin change, after I changed his napkin, I see he keep smiling to me, so I give it a try for a video shot, it was quite successful until he finally falls back asleep!

Enjoy~

Working Mom is backed

Today is my last day of holiday, will resume my working days starting tomorrow, a new start of my working life too! Hopefully my job is still as secure as before, and not so much impacted by current economy disaster.

Recently, my department is losing project, it seem to be a huge impact to most of the employees in our department either direct or indirect. As part of the employee, just wish that my job will continue to be secure, if not, I probably need to consider open a kolomee stall in PG to continue survive! Haha… well, wish me luck!

Initially, plan to do more shopping this week, as once I am back at work, there will be less of a chance to go enjoy long hours shopping. But it ended up that I didn’t really shop at all, I was staying at home enjoying RPG game instead! Haha… still love playing game as ever! Whenever Jenhong is sleeping, I still get the chance to enjoy my personal life, not too bad! Anyway, since I don’t get to shop, probably in a month of two, I shall do some short hours shopping to see if there is any CNY clothes to buy =P

Shop shop shop… still love shopping…

This is the recent picture of mommy and Jenhong…

Jenhong's smiles...

Baby's smile is always the best medicine, no matter how upset you are, how angry you are, whenever you see him smile, you basically forget everything!

自己儿子的笑,来得比任何东西更珍贵,更讨人欢心。
不管心情又多难过,有多生气,只要儿子的一笑,我足以把一切抛到云霄外。

笑,永远是最佳的良药。

Love my baby Boy!!!

My baby boy Jenhong look more alike mommy recently... haha
Please vote for mommy!!!

Big baby and Small baby…

It has been long since I last wrote about Jenhong’s progress…

Well, he’s 2+ months now, still an impatient eater, can’t wait for milk to get ready. Thinks he grow bigger, can’t tell exactly coz we see him everyday, we don’t feel he is growing at all, haha.

If we put him on his stomach, he can lift his head up for longer time now. And, he loves we hold him on our shoulders and pat him at his back. He starts to observe surroundings a lot too, every time you hold him up, he will basically keep looking around and sometimes he even ignore you =)

See… Jenhong can sit!

…. No la, is his daddy that cheat you…

Before this, every car ride he will be sleeping, yet this week we found that he no longer sleep during the entire car ride, he found that there are a lot of things for him to look around while he’s on a car ride, and he starts to get very busy whenever he’s on a ride… haha, he is growing and learning a lot!

Recently… caught this big baby and small baby sleeping together! In the end, I scolded big baby because it can be dangerous when he himself falls asleep like that!

Things are going well for mommy…

It is almost one week since I discharged from hospital. I went back for follow-up this morning and everything is looking good so far. My surgeon removed half of the tube that attached to my wound, and my dressing had changed to smaller and lighter water-proof type of dressing which allow me to bath more convenient since the discharge from my wound is getting less by now. I will have to go for another follow-up on next Monday, by then, my surgeon should be able to remove all the remaining tube. The purpose to keep half of the tube remaining is to let the wound heal from internal to external.

After follow-up, I actually bought quite some buns from the bakery at Island Hospital, was thinking to have it for snacks, or even tonight’s dinner. Hubby is working slightly late tonight due to late meetings, and I will have to pick him up before I can go pick my my baby from Winnie.

This afternoon will be a relax afternoon, nothing much in plan, probably can call the Perodua agent to find out more about Myvi details… hehe… planning to get a second car!

An Unexpected Surgery

I was discharged from Island Hospital yesterday and resting at home now. Was admitted for a minor surgery to surgically drain my breast abscess. My breast abscess was originated from mastitis, which is a bacteria infection on my breast and causing my milk to clog and worse it was blocked, end up cannot be clear by either baby sucking or express out.

I then gotten a referral letter from Intel’s panel clinic and went to see my surgeon on Thursday afternoon, ultrasound has shown that I have a lump that is quite huge and required a surgical drainage on my infected breast as soon as possible. So after discuss and agreed with my surgeon, my operation is plan on Friday morning to avoid any worsen on my infection breast which can cause more infection spreading and spoil my breast tissue.

The surgery was less than an hour I believe. On moment I get back my consciousness, it was around 11am already. Everything went thru smoothly and I was able to have my lunch around 1+pm. Around evening time, I met my surgeon and he explained to me how the surgery was done and what are the things that I need to do after I get discharged. He explained to me how should I attend to my wound too until we meet again on coming Thursday for further adjustment on the wound and follow-up. The wound was around 1+cm, it is an open wound for now attached to a tube to let the dirty blood and other liquid to leak out. So, I don’t need to clean my wound everyday, yet just to change my dressing whenever it is wet. Thank God it wasn’t too difficult and painful.

In order to kill all the bacteria and to recover from the surgery, my surgeon said I need to stop breastfeeding from now onwards to avoid further spread of the infection and potential of causing spoil on my breast tissue. This is the only thing that I am quite sad of actually. I’d then spoken to Dr. Hwang, she is a really good paediatrician, she visited me after my surgery and told me that there is way to resume breastfeeding even though I will have to force stop it for now. But first thing first, I will have to be fully recovered from the surgery. Hopefully… I still have the chance to breastfeed baby Jenhong.

After my surgery… my poor hubby is so busy taking care of baby because I do not hold my baby for now to avoid it worsens my wound. My hubby did most of the housework, cooking and baby stuff, while I take more time to rest for faster recovery.

Really appreciate that my baby sitter, Winnie is ok to take over my baby sooner than expected, so baby Jenhong is going to Winnie’s place during daytime, and while my hubby come home after work, he will go pick him up. There is still 2 weeks before I resume back at work, hopefully within this 2 weeks, my wound can recover most of it and I can start to work without much worried.

Naughty Boy is 2 months old

My naughty boy turn 2 months old yesterday. We brought him to see Dr. Hwang for injection and follow-up, he is now 5.1 kgs, Dr. Hwang said he is growing good, yet he is not a very tall boy, his length falls only on the 10 centile.

One thing we found out is… his cry while injection is given is much better than when he is asking for milk! What a boy… we both agreed that he has thick skins, HAHA =P

Final month of maternity leave

Time flies…

I’d been thru 2/3 of my maternity leaves, so fast!!!
Looking back 2 months ago, I just delivered baby Jenhong that time, and I was complaining about my confinement month, and now… baby Jenhong is going to be 2 months old in just few more days! Isn’t that fast…

Company offered 60 days of maternity leave and that is going to end by this week. I took extra personal annual leave to top-up until end of Nov, and I will send my baby to baby sitter, Aunty Winnie who stays at block A at Regency Heights starting Dec.

Looking back when I first started taking care of baby Jenhong by myself, I’d learned a lot by now. First of all, I managed to get thru the day with less sleep. I also manage to do all the housework, cooking, washing and etc while baby Jenhong is sleeping. In additional to that, I can still watch tv, blogging and facebooking too! Isn’t that amazing?! HAHA

It wasn’t as tough as I thought while it come to taking care of baby, as time pass by, I find that I’d get so used to it and everything become more relax than when it first started. Whenever he smile… again, you forget everything!

I will definitely enjoy my final month of fulltime housewife life~
